Amy Botteon, LGPC

Amy is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) and school counselor who has experience working with children, adolescents, and families - helping them navigate social, emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns. This experience has given Amy a deep understanding of child and adolescent development, family dynamics, and the evolving challenges that individuals face across different stages of life.

Amy’s therapeutic style is warm, genuine, and collaborative. She is committed to creating a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. Her clinical interests include working with women who are navigating anxiety, depression, family/relationship concerns, grief, and trauma. She draws from person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches, tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs and goals. As both a counselor and a mother of two teenagers, she understands that life's challenges often evolve over time and that parenting can bring both tremendous joy and unexpected complexity. This perspective helps her connect with women who are navigating motherhood, changing family dynamics, life transitions, and the many competing demands they face.

Amy is licensed to practice in Maryland under the supervision of a board-certified supervisor and offers services via telehealth.

More About Me

I enjoy music, art, comedy, and the kind of TV series that keeps you saying "just one more episode." As a mom of two teenage boys, I appreciate both the humor and humility that come with parenting. I also never pass up an opportunity to snuggle with my two dogs, Scooter and Gracie.
